Regular price €4.200,00The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490 is a real party machine, but at the same time elegant and functional: it was designed with 5+1 cabins and to sail in large groups of friends or large families. It can accommodate up to 12 people, all sleeping in the cabin and none in the dinette.
LIVING AREA
In the 490 there is a forward facing chart table/Nav station is set to port and forward There is the galley. The galley itself has a beautiful island with three burners and oven, double sink, freezer and refrigerator. There is an additional under floor wine cooler.
To starboard, there is a generous folding dining table with a central bench seat and plenty of storage under the seats. The table can also fold down to form an extra double berth and the light below is outstanding, with hull and deck portholes complemented by more hatches.
OUTDOOR AREA
The new 'walk around' side deck gently slopes towards the helm station on each side so there's no more scrambling over contrasts and coamings to get from the cockpit to the side deck – just simply walk around the helm. And the helm itself has forward-facing seats so you can helm without having to twist your body and crane your neck.
The coamers are now hinged so they can be folded back to create sunbeds on either side. In the case of the starboard pad, it can extend all the way to the cockpit table (with filler cushion). The cockpit table is also slightly offset allowing a straight passage even when one table leaf is open.
The twin wheels, large split backstay and extra large swim platform provide easy boarding and unobstructed access through the companionway.
The engine start panel is incorporated into the central cockpit mold along with the autopilot, steering compass, table/transom, and light controls. Add in Harken electric winches operated right from the cockpit and short-sea sailing is easy, safe and stress-free.
Below you can find the simple steps to book your sailing holiday with us. Remember that Kasko insurance is included in our price and that we will not ask you for any security deposit (that is, no surprises at check-out). Anyway, here's how:
1. Check if the desired week (check-in on Saturdays only) is available from the yacht calendar clearly visible on the yacht page.
2. Choose the way you prefer to book as per this scheme:

3. If you opt for the ONLINE mode, you will go directly to the cart where you can enter your personal data with the yacht and period already pre-selected. On the right side you will see the total price with reserved and already calculated automatic discounts. The pre-selection of accessories and services will take place in the next step and will not contribute to the agreed price to be paid before boarding (they can in fact be confirmed/cancelled/added up until your boarding).
4. By confirming all these data, you accept the Agreement and the option on renting your sailboat is activated in your name for 5 days, pending your 1st Payment:
- 25% of the final value of the yacht charter (registered automatically if you pay online by Paypal or Credit Card). You can pay with Paypal, Credit Card or Bank Transfer and so the reservation becomes a binding reservation in real time. At the end of this step you will automatically be sent all the detailed instructions for any bank payments and the next binding deadlines to be respected.
5. When we receive the payment (instantly in case of payments by PayPal or Credit Card or after 2 or 3 days in case of bank transfer), your sailboat is put in "BOOKED" status and you agree to comply with subsequent payments deadlines:
- an additional 25% no later than 90 days before the departure date
- balance of 50% no later than 30 days before the departure date.
Please note that the Accessories and Packs, including any Skipper and/or Hostess, will be paid for upon boarding. In case of problems or changes, do not hesitate to contact us: we will be happy to help you, in compliance with the signed Contract.

We remind you that all your payments are binding on the Parties in the booking made and are non-refundable or non-refundable, except as provided in the Covid-19 Guarantee. If you wish to check the Rental Agreement just request it by email and we will send it to you promptly.
Capo d'Orlando it is certainly one of the best Marinas in all of Sicily: located right in front of the marvelous Aeolian Islands, it is 2 hours (by car) from the airports of Palermo and Catania.

The prevailing winds around the Aeolian Islands during the summer tend to be from NW or NE, although, in calm weather, light sea breezes can be encountered from any direction blowing onto and between the islands.
While infrequent, gales are not unknown during the spring and early summer and careful forward planning are necessary as there are only two harbours which offer adequate shelter (and even then, not in strong southerlies).
